I am working on another crumb quilt top and this time I was determined to have some gray. I first picked up some at Stitch & Sew in Arthur, Illinois. I found a gray on sale, and got all they had of it, thinking it would be enough. Wrong....I needed about 6 more inches.
I decided to use it on half the blocks and use another gray on the rest of the blocks. So ordered these from Thousands of Bolts.
The one in the upper left corner has done been cut...well, over half of it has been cut.
I am going to use some of the one above in the quilt top also...
And I got this one just because I liked it...
i took photos of my favorite and only quilt, a lap quilt my DIL gave me about 14 years ago, i use it when i lay on the bed reading to cover my legs, the colors in the first photo are in mine. i love those colors.
ReplyDeletePretty fabrics, Rose. My bedroom and bath have gray, lavender/purple. I see a lot of yellow and gray in the stores, too.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE polka dots! But in this case, I like the pretty, soothing, neutral greys better! Why CRUMB??
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be pretty when done.
ReplyDeleteI like what you chose!
ReplyDeleteI hope you show us the finished product!
ReplyDeleteThe fabric in the first pic is very pretty. I like the leaves. I am always so amazed how you people can quilt and sew and stuff. I can sew a button on! Lol. And that's even crooked... :)
ReplyDeleteDoes crumb mean leftover pieces? Just wondering about the term..my gramma used to call it a crazy quilt when she had odds and ends. Like your choices..Bet the quilts will looks great. :-)
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing how this quilt turns out. It will be unusual and I suspect stunning!
