Another rainy day

Little project I am currently working on in the dining room.,,those square are 3 inches finished size.
********************
Got up to sunshine this  morn, but it quickly clouded up and rained a little.  And has sprinkled/drizzled, rained, hailed, and almost everything except snow at one time or another.

I sewed a little bit on the project above....and started the hand sewing of the binding on the quilt.  Feels good to have it started.  I got all the mitered corners done...I always do them first.  And also finished one side.  The rest should go quickly.

Tomorrow is The Preakness...if nothing happens I will be watching it!  Otherwise I have it set to record.  I love all the pre-race stories about the horses, owners, and trainers.  How about you--are you interested at all?

  4. Lovely quilt work! If we remember the races are on, sometimes we watch. But if it's a beautiful day, we're just as apt to be off doing something outside.

  5. Going to be another pretty quilt!

Have never watched the Preakness, but would certainly enjoy the pre-race stories.

  8. We've had the same weather. The rain has held off so far today but it's cloudy so who knows.
    Your quilt looks lovely.

  9. I want to watch the Preakness too.
We have had such nice weather and it was calling for rain this morning but it turned out to be very nice. A mix of rain and overcast. We went up North a bit and watch the Horse Plowing contest. Pretty neat---pics soon.
    Quilts gonna look good. MB

  11. Thanks for the Anniversary wishes...we are so looking forward to our little trip. Looks like you are getting a lot done with your quilting, and that's always good. I just finished a "rag quilt", you know those that you sew back sides together so you can fray the seam allowances....done in flannel and that thicker soft material (can't think what it's called!) for our grandson. Nothing I wanted to show off, so I didn't post it. He LOVES quilts and blankets! :-)

  12. I'm interested, but I never remember to tune in. But if there is a chance of a Triple Crown, I think more of it.

  13. You've been busy! I'm working on a hand sewing project so it is slow. Also started some 4-patch blocks to make 1-2 quilts out of depending on how many I end up with and what I do with them.
