Day Lily time approaches/is here

Just trying to blog a quick post before I head downstairs to start a load of laundry.  It was overcast for so long, I couldn't decide if I wanted to try hanging our a load or not.  I have decided to do the load and then decide for sure.

I have one day lily blooming...not the one above...mine is in a place where I cannot get a good photo at all.  But I am looking forward to watching them bloom for a while.  It really extends the season to deadhead them.

So, I best be off and head down there and start the laundry....I have fabric to cut and seams to sew...all fun things to do.  Even the laundry.

  1. Isn't that the way....the prettiest flower is inaccessible for a shot. The one you posted looks very good.

  7. Mine don't have many flowers on them this year. I think they need some mulch.

Have fun sewing. I am deep cleaning my kitchen and utility room cabinets. Can't believe all the junk in there. Time to throw some stuff away!

  8. Love the color of that daylily --even if it isn't the one that is blooming for you now. Hope this one blooms for you soon. Our daylilies are just beginning to bloom... SO pretty...

  14. I had a friend once offer me tons of day lillies and I said no. Sometimes I wonder if I should have taken them since my garden is where plants come to die.

  15. This is lovely and such a rich color!

Hope you're having a good time sewing. Today (Monday) was so humid, it was a great day to stay inside.

  17. May I say that I love the quilt in your blog banner? Please can you tell me what the quilting pattern is? I made a similar one in batiks, and I machine-quilted it using a stipple pattern. I don't have a long-arm machine so it was a bit difficult for a first project! Love your blog and look forward to learning more about you! Hope you'll stop by for a visit. -Vickie

  18. So pretty Rose, mine have have not bloomed yet and I can't wait till they do. We have finally gotten some rain and have not hung clothes up for a few days. I've been in the sewing room and loving it, I haven't done that in so long.
I had to chuckle at the laundry comment because I thought that same thing yesterday, that I actually don't mind doing laundry, that it's actually fun :)
