Opposite of yesterday

I had planned to get up and finish some sewing...instead we have barely been home today.  We first went south to Terre Haute...then back home and to Arthur, Illinois.  The above photo was taken over there.  The main street is so pretty this year.  With those hanging baskets and with pots of flowers.  It is wonderful to see that when entering the main part of town.

Right now, it is wonderful to be home.  I am worn to a frazzle...I don't have anything interesting to tell or say.  So what are you doing this weekend?  Anything exciting happening?  Any sewing being done by anyone?

  1. That's a real nice street scene. I love hanging baskets. They really do add a bit of color to a town. We are having a quiet weekend. I hope the rest of yours is a great one.

  2. Love how so many towns have flower boxes and baskets in the summer! In one town we visited they had old photos printed as the sides of the containers. Tomorrow we're planning to go canoeing on the Iowa River with friends.

  5. I would love to see hanging pots with flowers in our towns too. At one time, we just to have them but very soon they all were gone.

  6. Most towns in my area decorate their main streets with hanging baskets and planters, and I really like that! The flowers in the photo are really well cared for. They are gorgeous.
