Long ago...

Long ago, when I was in school...high school....when the teachers were talking I would sit and doodle as I listened them.

Now this one has this on one side...it is unfinished.  If it had been finished it would have been full.

This is the other side...it is finished.

I have always thought I should try quilting something similar to these....they also make me think of crazy quilts.

  1. These are amazing! I've always been one who doodles too, but have never turned out anything like these. Mama had some special designs. She used to doodle.

  2. Awesome doodles!
Are you sure you were listening to the teachers, because in the first one you've written in 2 favourite bands and perhaps there were tunes playing in your head at the time. LOL!
The second one looks like a cow, it's nose is the star shape.
The last one would be an outstanding free motion quilt pattern.
You are really creative and artistic Rose!!

  6. I agree...you are very talented! They do remind me of crazy quilts and also they remind me of the new coloring books for adults where the entire page is colored.

  10. OK girlfriend....It is time for you to start an art journal like I have. There are so many wonderful blogs filled with girls with such varied talents. That is all I have done today. I did two more Red pages and am so happy with them. Now I know why you flipped when you saw what Eloise was doing. I love your wall hanging and especially the quilting. Your rotary cutting turned out really well. I will never be able to do that free form stuff. Straight lines are all I can crank out. Will write later.
