From today....

Another venture...actually we took a long, slow rambling drive.  We both wanted to get out and see some of the autumn color.   We have been seeing color of course, but always on the way to somewhere else.  Today was dedicated to the enjoyment of the color.  True,  lot of trees are bare, but there is still a lot of beauty to be found.
This is where the above picture was taken....Mansfield, Indiana.

Back to Roger...I am amazed that he is now capable of this.  At first we had to watch everything we did.  His blood pressure was all over the place, and when it would drop down real low he would be dizzy and come close to falling.  I avoided getting out at times like that.  I was always on edge...afraid to let him out of my sight, and that was not only because of the blood pressure...I was worried he would fall, or run into something.

To be truthful I was not real comfortable with him fishing here....so we only stayed a few minutes.  We were both weary and hungry anyway.

  1. Glad you both got out and enjoyed the day. This is such a beautiful time of the year. I must say, Lorelei is the cutest pirate I've ever seen. She is adorable!

  2. I understand your fears and can relate to them. I've mentioned before that Terry has had 3 TIAs. His blood pressure is pretty much under control by diet and all but one BP med have been eliminated. Every now and then his BP drops for some unknown reason which is truly worrisome. Due to RA he does not move freely so I rarely leave him home alone and keep checking on him if he is outside alone. As Roger improves, your fears will subside though like me, I'm sure you will be ever watchful and never truly relax. But it does get better. Much love and prayers for Roger and your family.

  5. Sorry to hear he has been having blood pressure issues. I think that is my problem.....it goes up and down....up and down.....in a matter of minutes!
So nice that he got to fish for a while. I find fishing to be very relaxing and a time to bond with someone.
Glad to hear you both got out for some fresh air and quality time.

  6. Roger is looking good and happy he is getting back
    out and enjoying it.
I can sure sympathize with you that is how I
was with my Bennie when he had been so sick.
It took a year for him to get back on track.
