Lorelei's art

She made the snail....

She drew the deer, but did not get time to finish it..

The owl is cut out and glued...

She first drew these with a pencil, then colored them.

Her teacher thought this had too much blue;  I think it is  just perfect and beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.  It was their imagination work.

And this is from today...that is Lorelei that is already jumping on the trampoline!  I just simply love this one...you just feel the joy of living.

And I am so thankful I have her as my granddaughter.

  11. These are amazing and wonderful! She is very talented. The snail looks made by an adult, the owl and leaves are gorgeous and colorful (reminds me of the famous artist Laurel Birch!). And the trampoline! Look at how she has the body angled just like it would be while jumping. I think her art shows so much joy and color; she is a happy girl! I hope she makes things for you!

  14. What a talented young lady.... She is expressing her creativity... LOVE it....

My youngest always loved to draw... He still uses that talent --but is now doing it on the computer (designing logos, business cards, flyers, invitations, etc.)....

    Hope she keeps it up!!!

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  18. It almost makes me angry that an art teacher would tell a budding artist that her work is wrong...geez. I love that trampoline picture too! How fun. This is a great post. You are both lucky to have each other. What does Roger think of the art? Bet he loves it too.

Hug her tight--rejoice in her---they learn everything from Gramma's ya know!!!
The painting with too much blue just isn't so. I wonder why the teacher said that.
She is doing just fine. I am thankful for her too because you get to tell us about her. Works all the way around.

  26. Gosh those are really good. I think Lorelei has real talent. I'll bet nobody told Picasso he had "too much blue" on his canvas when he went through his blue period! Blue is such a "mood" colour, and the picture still feels upbeat and happy. Well done, Lorelei!
