Another day, another pillowcase

Daughter and I went to the Wabash Valley yesterday. Lorelei went with us.  She did not want to go, but she wandered around and looked.  I was about ready to leave and she asked if I wanted to see her favorite fabric...so it was a batik.  In case you don't know, they are dyed fabrics, not printed.  Most batiks don't have a 'wrong' side...you can use either one and not tell the difference.



so I got a yard to make her another pillowcase...
I wish I had taken a photo of the fabric opened up ....

I have been reading The Elephant Whisper by Lawrence Anthony with Graham Spence...and thoroughly enjoying it.  Follow the link to read about it...it is one I don't want to put down.  Yet I don't want to be done with it either.   There's nothing like a good book that you don't want to put down.

    I so agree with your thoughts of an exceptional book...can't put it down & don't want it to end.

    Beautiful fabric...makes a peaceful, dreamy atmosphere to lay your head on at night.

    I read a Karin Slaughter book, her newest and I can't pull up the name right now. Read it last week, I could not stand to put it down and wanted to speed to the end and was so sad when I got to the end. that is they type of book I love to read.. beautiful material. and I did not know what batik is, just saw it when you used it.... learned something new today

    That is nice that you bought the material for Lorelei. Very pretty. I'm glad you are enjoying the book. My granddaughter likes anything about elephants. Hope you have a good weekend
