A finished puzzle

I finished it at last!  I did better about not devoting every moment to it through the day.  I just would not let myself start that...still,  I spent a lot of hours on it.

That face!  Even though the entire puzzle is very appealing to me because it is sewing related, that face is what forced me to buy the puzzle.  It is a look that could have been taken straight from Bubbie.  There is a certain smugness, while at the same time a contented look.  He is almost always very pleased with life.

And Bubbie definitely likes to be right in the middle of what I am working on, though he did not bother this puzzle--a first in his 11½ years of life.  I have had this puzzle for at least a year, maybe a couple years and have not tried to work it because I did not think it would survive him.

As you can see it has 2000 pieces.  When finished it measured 27½ by 38½ inches.  If you are interesting in seeing the biggest view, Right Click on each photo then click to view in a new tab or new window.  This will give you a slightly bigger view

  1. It is adorable!! How long did it take you to do the 2,000 pieces?

  7. I always click on photos and look at all of them before I read the post. incredible detail in this 2000 piece puzzle. amazing that you can do this. I could not in a life time.. I think putting puzzles together is good for your mind. just like my computer stuff is good, but we tend to let them take over. you did good, so did Bubbie… love the picture it created.

  9. I saw this post yesterday, but stopped reading blogs before I got to yours because I wanted to read this post fresh and not tired. It's a great puzzle. I LOVE Wysocki. We used to have the most marvelous gift shop in Mishawaka in an old brewery. You could browse there all day. Every year I would buy a Wysocki calendar. I had forgotten about his art. It's a lovely puzzle. Definitely art quality if you had a place to hang it.

  10. I have that same puzzle and have worked it several times over the years. Mine is only 1000 pieces....how strange! It is old, so they must have changed the number of pieces. I love Wysocki's cat puzzles and have several of them. Actually I like all of his puzzles and got a couple of small ones for Christmas. Right now I am working a puzzle called "Quilting Room" from Pics and Pieces. It has quilts and a couple of cats as well. It is OK. I do not like the puzzle pieces in their puzzles. I'm fortunate that my cat shows no interest in my quilt room. I joined the " Quilting cats" site on FAcebook and love looking at the photos of other people with cats that "help" them quilt. I don't know how they get anything done, but the photos are adorable! Sorry about the long comment! I should have emailed you instead.
