A good day....

We always say any day we see an eagle is a good day.  Lately, it has gotten till any day we see turkeys is a good day, too.  I think the past year we see eagles more often than turnkeys.   Still, it isn't quite the thrill of seeing eagles, but it was fun.

There were nine of them, but five were on the far side of the field with too much corn stubble in front ot them to get a decent picture.

They were just a few flocks away from our house.

Did you notice they all have beards?

  1. ...I saw lots of turkeys in the fall, but none now. Last Saturday I was driving along a country road and saw an eagle feeding on a roadkill deer. As soon as I got there he flew off.

  5. I was out for a walk once and heard someone running through the tall weeds toward me. Suddenly a turkey ran right past me. Scared me silly. He was a noisy fellow!
