February 24

This has been occupying a lot of my time...below is what it is supposed to look like when finished.

I work on it in minutes here and there.  My back/hip is 'out of order' and I have not been doing much of anything.  I go to the chiropractor tomorrow.  Hoping he can help me without having to go too many times.   I was just walking to take the garbage out and felt my hip twinge week before last.  It has gradually gotten worse...I am taking ibuprofen faithfully.

Though standing and walking really irritates my hip, I did stand and cut a few more of the 6½ squares from the old flannel shirts.  I am trying to make up my mind whether to just sew them randomly or to try to have some sort of order to them.  Whatever I do, it is not going to be a pretty quilt.  I am going for warm, and comfy and one I don't mind if the cats lay on.

That is it for now...I hope you have a wonderful week ahead.

  4. Oh gosh, I used to love jigsaw puzzles. Dan isn't interested so I don't keep one around anymore. But they are a great way to pass the time, especially when one needs some healing rest!

  5. LOVE that puzzle, what a beautiful photo they used for it.. sorry your hip is bothering you and hope you can get relief at the doctors. you need one of those coffee tables that has a pull out to keep a puzzle in that you are working on. saw it on fb

  7. Do you know what is causing this? Maybe some cortisone shots would help, too. I have had them in my hips. Let us know what the chiropractor says.

  8. Hope you're feeling better soon. I have a couple of warm and not pretty flannel quilts that I love, perfect for windy rainy days.

  10. Having hip and back problems is no fun.I've had my share of them.Like I said on Instagram,I did a puzzle like this last winter. For some reason, I found this one very challenging.

  11. Oh Geez, that hip thing is irritating. I used to have a lot of trouble but started taking the CBD oil Corey sells and I hardly have a problem unless I walk a real lot. You can buy it over the counter in most pharmacies in Indiana now. You may want to give it a try, you might be surprised.

The puzzle is so pretty. At first glance I thought you were working on a quilt.

  14. I can definitely sympathize with you on the back/hip problems. Earlier this week I was in pain due to my right hip and I spent two nights very little sleep. Slowly I've been feeling better. I am so thankful. I hope your problem also gets better because it's no fun at all being in pain!!
