Photo overload from today....

Roger had an appt over at Indianapolis...really Avon, but you cannot tell when you go from one to the other....so these are scenes along the way there and back.

Just so you know, it was misting rain in this one...that one I know for sure.  Remember to click and expand the view.

The rest of these are on the way home, and while overcast, no rain or drizzle, at least not in the photos.

Every direction I looked, there was beauty.

I have often wanted to turn  by this church and travel some of the backroads on that area

.
It was so beautiful that it made my heart sing, while at the same time I could have cried at the beauty of it all.

We just had to go to the ENT to get a prescription renewed...no big deal.  And he is going to up the dosage on one.  Roger leaned back and half slept all the way there, but did stay awake on the way home and saw all the beautiful colors.

This is what I am reading now...He Called Me Son by Barbara Arnold.  I am enjoying it.  When I got it, it was free.

I have so much I need to do, so I guess I should be happy it is supposed to rain the next couple of days or I would want to take off and ramble the backroads.  Hopefully I will get to before the leaves are gone.

  1. Oh how pretty- you have grorgeous oranges and yellows. Right now all we have is some major browns...but I am still waiting. After the big chill Thursday, maybe!

  2. You have beautiful roads to travel on. The scenery is amazing; the trees and the buildings. Almost all our leaves have dropped from the trees or they have shriveled up. Our night time temperatures have been in the teens. We have been having snow flurries. Not good weather for Trick-or-Treaters. I would want to be out driving and taking in all the scenery if I lived in your area.

  3. I thought I commented, but maybe not. You may get two from me. I loved your oh-so-beautiful pictures. We are just now beginning to see much color here. The trees around the pond were quite pretty today. Our FFA kids are in Indianapolis this week, I think. Did you see any blue jackets over your way?

  7. I am amazed at how much color you have down there. We are not quite that colorful yet and have a lot of green trees. However, we will have cold and rainy weather up here so I would guess that a lot of leaves will be falling off. Chicago had snow this morning so I guess we will too in a few days. Our weather people say our normal temp for now should be 57. But all those years that I did craft shows the first one was the first week in November and we always had snow that weekend. It was welcome then putting visitors in the Christmas buying spirit.
    Happy Halloween.
    xx, Carol

  9. I love the colors of fall. The sugar maples are always so vivid. Once we have this rain and cold spell, there should be the final hoorah of color.

  10. all the way down the road with you I was singing country road take me home... I love how tiny the big truck looks under that beautiful red tree and if you go again get photos of the houses on that street, I love the look of them.

  12. I wish I lived closer so I could persuade you to leave the work behind and join me on a drive in that beautiful countryside.

  13. Those colors are beautiful! Wish our trees would turn pretty like those. We had such dry weather for the last two or three months of summer, most of the leaves turned brown and fell off the trees.

  15. Beautiful color. All the leaves are brown here after an early snow storm and bitterly cold temperatures. It was -14°F this morning.
