Yesterday...

Guess what happened yesterday?

Roger actually went fishing with his buddy...above is the first pic Billy sent me of Roger with a fish...I assumed it was his first one but wish now I had ask.  They have worked and 'played' together for years.  Billy has tried to get him to go hunting every season since his stroke.  And Roger will act like he is going to go, but then backs out.

He was absolutely worn out when he got home.  I had to leave to go get the oil changed and tires rotated just a few minutes after he got home.  When I got back home about 30-45 minutes later, he was sound asleep in his recliner.  And when he went to bed last night he said it felt so good to lay down.
**********
I did not do much today, but felt like I had worked hard.  LOL  Just some of the usual things...cooking and washing dishes.  Balanced checkbook.  Most people I know just glance at their statement and never actually balance it...but I always go through the motion.
*************

That is it for this post...hope you all have a good weekend ahead.

They look like they were having a blast! Wish I could have joined them but I guess girls weren't allowed.

Now that is some fishing! I bet he loved it.

You are not alone in balancing the checkbook. I pay my bills online but I still balance the checkbook. I guess old habits die hard.

How wonderful for him! To get out in the fresh air, fishing with his buddy, what could be better? Did you cook the fish?

That's a nice looking fish. Did they release it backing into the lake? As a kid I used to love having fresh caught fried trout for breakfast when my family went camping. You can probably relate...everyone here makes a face when I talk about fried trout for breakfast. (Great pic of Roger)

There's nothing like getting outside to help you sleep well at night.

Looks like the fishing expedition went well!

I always check the bank statement against our account book i.e. our personal record of transactions. If anything's incorrect, it's usually our account book!

I'm happy the guys had a good day to fish. John has been fishing several times but has not caught the first fish!

It is good to have Roger going out fishing with his buddy Billy. Hope he will be more confident to go out more often. I am sure both of them enjoyed the time spent fishing together.

Hello,

It is great that Roger went out fishing with his buddy, it is good to go back and do normal things again. That is a big fish. My hubby balances the checkbook every month. Enjoy your day, have a happy weekend!

that second photo is really good of both Roger and that big old fish... so glad he got out a little while. bob has so little energy he told me today he was going out to cut the grass and if he did not come back in or i heard the mower just sitting still to come check on him. he said he did not feel like he had the energy to push it. he did it and came in and is watching nascar.

sounds like it was a great way to get out...and to give you some peace of mind, that he was with a pal. As for the fish, good one.
