Not much happening....

Not much happening around here....we were in Terre Haute yesterday and saw THIS Eagle on the way home...

Today, coming home from Hardees, I saw this one...

As you can see it is a Juvenile Bald Eagle.  I had rushed home and took these from the back porch.  I still find it hard to believe that we see them from our yard.  The first time I ever saw one in real life in the wild was in Michigan.  I never dreamed I would ever see them here on  a fairly regular basis.  There was a hawk flying near it for a bit and the hawk looked so tiny.

***********

A few days ago, added a background to this leaf.  Just playing.  Not sure what I will do with it.

************
I have also been getting some hexies ready for English Paper piecing but have not taken any photos.   It is something to sit and do by hand at night or at odd moments.  I used to at least half the time have something that I was hand sewing.  I am not sure when I almost completely stopped.

How about a little Simon's Cat video...an oldie but still good.

How cool with seeing the eagle and then the hawk with the eagle. Hawks and quail are my favorite birds :)

LOL, I haven't seen that video before...thanks for sharing. Love how your leave background turned out, looks pretty flat to me. I've put mine away for the moment, hopefully I'll get back to it soon. I'd love to have a table runner done by Thanksgiving.

It’s good to see a bird having the last “word” when it comes to cats! Great photos too.

Seeing a bald eagle!!!!!!!!!!

"Terre Haute" Why does that name, seem 'scary' to me? ~grin~ Perhaps there was once a tv show, that used it, in a scary way??????????

What are "Hexies" I wonder???? Love the sound of it. Must look it up. ~smile~

Great picture of the Eagle. We never used to see them around here, and now they are fairly common.

It's not uncommon here to see Eagles but I'm impressed anyway and don't take them for granted.

How cool to see eagles from your yard. The close up you got on the road is really an amazing picture!

I love what you did with the pieced leaf. You could end up with another leaf quilt but very different from the first. Simon's Cat is always a favorite, thanks for sharing! I hope you are both doing well!

Hi,Rose, love your pretty leaf. I think a Fall runner made from them would be very pretty. I don't remember ever seeing an eagle in the sky above our house but have seen them at my mother's in Maine, but too high up to photograph. Have a great and restful weekend. 💖

That video is hilarious! Oh, Rose, I do love the leaf & contrasting background. It makes the leaf/colors even MORE vibrant! Eagle watching is plain awesome.

amazing what nature is providing us with..,along with the leaf structures you are making .... and then Simons' cat comes along. As for why it's hard to do much right now, possibly seasonal change...
