Waiting

I thought while I am waiting I would pop in to tell you to say a prayer for us...our AC is not cooling.  It stopped last night.  Was cooling fine till some time in the late evening.  After the heating and AC place had closed, of course.  I was in and out doing a few things outside, or attempting to do so and it had been cooling fine all day.

Then late yesterday evening, I noticed it was not cooling.  so have ran the fan all night long to circulate the air. And Roger has the ceiling fan on in his room. It is supposed to reach 100ยบ F today.  And the humidity is terrible.  I have called the AC place and have been waiting on a call back.  The answering service answered earlier and said someone should contact me in half an hour...or to call again.  I have been calling and getting no answer.

Roger is okay right at this present moment, but am not sure what to do.  Thinking about getting a hotel room, but I think he will fuss about that if I do.  And even that will be hard cause there is not one here close...so will just wait and see for now.

  1. Hope it gets fixed today. Call back and let them know you have medical issues in the house - they usually respond quickly. It always worked for us, when Glen was here. Electric company was the same. Stay safe.

  2. Oh my! I’ve seen the heat and hoped everyone was okay. A hotel sounds like a great idea if you don’t hear from the repair people soon. I can imagine how busy the AC repair people are right now. Prayers on the way!

  3. This time of year we have had that happen multiple years and it was a clogged condensation line. Can you look and see if the pan in the bottom of the air handler is full of water? If so you can look on YouTube to find out how to clear it.

  4. Prayers are in the process for a quick solution to your AC problem. If needed, going to a hotel room is better than risking of dyeing from heat exhaustion or stroke which would make the situation worst.

    Stay safe and well.

  5. Oh no hope the AC is getting fixed right now. I've just said a prayer.
That is one thing we don't have to worry about. We don't even need AC here in the woods.

  6. Oh, I'm so sorry! Tell the repair people about Roger's health! Or even leave a message about it. It may really speed up their response. Keep me posted.

  8. Yes, Cheryl is correct once again! You will be given priority is someone has a medical condition. You might also give a call to senior services and the fire department. They might be able to provide a resource in regards to the situation.

I have a window unit that I can use in case of an emergency if my central AC goes down. It was gifted to me by a friend when he bought a bigger unit. It is the perfect thing to have. Something to in mind. I do not have a medical condition but I can't take the heat.

  9. Hopefully you won't be without A/C for very long with the temperatures as high as you're forecast to have.

  18. Didn't see this yesterday, but....

I hope you called 911 and said your issue. It is an emergency for you folks and they/police ought to have been able to make contact with the A/C place.

So hope all is well today.

    Gentle hugs,
