Lucky shots...

I am afraid that this is going to be a disappointment for some of you.  This is why I wanted to go back to Walmart.  The Teasel is starting to bloom....I am so afraid I will miss it at its full bloom stage, but it seems to be just starting.

I am so blessed to have gotten these two shots.  They are from my phone and I could only vaguely see what was in the frame most of the time.  Plus the wind was blowing almost constantly.  If you saw my other shots, you would know I am not lying.  To capture it with a critter on it was a bonus.

I still want to try to make it back there before too long.  Though now that I think about it, I wonder if it has mostly bloomed and I just got lucky and caught this one.  There were only a few at this stage.  There are a lot of them.  This one was very close to the fence.

**************                                                                                                             It has been a busy, hectic day for me...had tshirts to take back to Tractor supply...they were for Roger.  Such nice, 100% cotton.  The large was way bigger than the tshirts he wears all the time...I took them back last week and thought, well, medium should work.  No, they were quite a bit smaller than what he wears all the time.  I told a friend, that it is wide range between sizes.

I ran on over to walmart to check out the teasel and also to grab a couple or three items...and then to another store to pick up a couple pair of pants.  It is a store that gets rid of the last season's things for a big name store.  I had gotten a pair of Under Armor pull on pants...thinking for just around the house.  For $10...I liked them so well, I went back and got two more, in the same olive drab color...but I will wear them out in public.  I just could not believe how comfortable they are.  They are strange material...I normally only want cotton...and I do wonder how these would be in heat or cold.  But just to wear around they are fine...

Then home to vacuum, do up some dishes and fold laundry....and I have even gone upstairs and sewed a bit.  Roger had leftover pizza for his supper...I had it for lunch.  LOL

That is about it for this day....

  4. WHY would I be disappointed? I love snapping Teasel, the color and shape are so cool. Your photos are great! It is so annoying trying to snap plants when it is windy! Great capture with the bee!! And you reminded me to start looking for them.

  5. Teasel must be a very unusual plant!! I've never seen one but I once had a dried seed head of one in a bowl of potpourri.
Your new comfy pants sound just like something I'm looking for. Pull on and comfy ( and only $10).

  6. I have only ever seen teasel as a dried seed head so it is nice to see how pretty it actually is when in flower. Your pants sound like a great bargain :)

  8. I like your pictures. It's always hard to get a good picture when it's windy. I've even tried holding a stem to keep flowers still.
Sounds like you had a good day. I wish we had a store like that around here. I would definitely shop there.

  9. I have never seen a teasel, and this is gorgeous. I would love to see one. you got a lot done for one day.. glad you found pants. I am going to look up teasels to see how they grow. the photos could not be any better. kiss my sweet Copper for me. I went to home Depot yesterday and nearly had heat stroke shopping for rose moss and Mexican heather and spent and hour this morning planting them in pots. I sweated so much I couldn't stand it. took me an hour and then I had to give bob and myself mango and water to get us back on par

  10. It seems your life and mine are on the same course.. You accomplished quite a bit and oh how I love your photos with the bumblebee on the teasel.
After our fraud wiping out our bank accounts its needless to say that we are on the phone and at banks to somehow straighten things out and establish new accounts. Absolutely no fun!! but, we have gotten some terrific people to speak with that are patient and willing to take all the time we need.
I am essentially just cruising through FB with no comments or additions of my own. this will be for a while. We don't know where our info. was obtained but FB can be the opportunity for "bad guys" so for now I am laying low and even not publishing on blog for a while. This is so hard for me and so confining. But I will survive.
