These impatiens were at Eagle Creek Nursery....I would not mind going back again and walking around and just seeing what is happening there now.

I have not done much more than two cents worth of work. I would like to know, do you sleep through the night? I seldom do. I cannot remember the last time I did. One time to get up to go to the bathroom is not bad. But to get up and not be able to go back to sleep really drags me down. Night before last was up twice during the night, but could go back to sleep. But had a ton of stuff to do yesterday.
Last night I actually laid my kindle down around 11:00, went to sleep fairly easy, but up at 3:17 and then did not go back to sleep till well after 5:00 a.m., then back up soon after 6:00 to give Roger his meds. I did nap some between then and when I got up to stay right after 8:00...but I was still worn out today. I am hoping tonight will be better because there is stuff I need to do tomorrow, too.
I so wish you could have seen Copper after I brought him up and let him out and he came back in. He made me laugh till I cried. I told my daughter she must have fed him his Wheaties this morn. He was running here, and there and just wild. Just for a few minutes. And he wasn't bad...just hyper. Then he was calm the rest of the day till his mom got home.
I sleep the way you do. Awake for hours falling asleep again. Brutal.
ReplyDeleteA dog can bring such joy! Enjoy!
I am not always awake for hours, but sometimes I am. Specially if I have an appt the next day. The one time I would like to be rested.
DeleteZoomies! Bella gets them too in the morning. It's like she wants to play keep away. I'm like you also, especially during the summer when the nights are warm. I sleep so much better in the winter time.
ReplyDeleteThat what we call his outside running...
DeleteI usually get a solid 4 or maybe 5 hour stretch of sleep. After that it's a matter of enjoying the comfy bed until 6 when I get up and face my day.
ReplyDeleteIt's rough when you have to get up and can't fall back asleep.
Its a good night if I can get 5 hours solid sleep.
DeleteThe older I get, the more I have to wake up at night. And the harder and longer it is to get back to sleep!
ReplyDeleteI go to bed and fall asleep easily. Then it's off and on all night. I wake up at least a half a dozen times during the night. Usually I do fall back asleep. It's been a while since I haven't been able to. I don't know what it's like to sleep all night long any more.
ReplyDeleteI figured of all of us, you would sleep better with the way you work! I don't see how you do it. Even if you can fall back asleep.
DeleteI read all the comments and every one said the same as you and I can add I do the same thing. most nights I sleep 5 hours and up and down. last night I slept from 8 to 3 without waking up. the first time in weeks. 5 is my usual and sometimes not that. I sleep and wake and sleep and wake. would love to see copper wired. ha ha
ReplyDeleteYou would enjoy Copper...
DeleteLove the pretty flowers! I have a hard time sleeping through the night.
ReplyDeleteI will pick up my kindle and start reading again. Take care, have a wonderful day!
It seems like we are all doing the same thing. If I picked up my kindle, I am not sure I would put it down again. But I might try it.
DeleteBelieve it or not...last night I slept all the way through!! That's 11:30 until 7:30..it sure doesn't happen often though.
ReplyDeleteIt seems when the house is cooler I do sleep better but the darn potty breaks come too often. HaHa
Sue
I never thought I would ever be one to have to go to the potty often but boy was I wrong!
DeleteI too get up one or two times a night to go to the bathroom. I usually fall back to sleep but not always.
ReplyDeleteI usually fall back asleep, without too much trouble but seems like there will be one or two nights per week that I don't.
DeleteI've woken up at night now for years, usually about 4 hours after falling asleep. I used to toss and turn for hours before going back to sleep (or not), but now I get up, go to the toilet, make myself a hot drink, take it back to bed and do a couple of puzzles, then after an hour is up I find I can fall asleep again. I guess we all have to find our own way of dealing with sleeplessness.
ReplyDeleteIf I didn't have to get up to give meds, I would be fine. That is when I sleep my best. When the girls were still home, I would lay and lay before I could go to sleep. After they were gone, and I quit work, I could go to bed and sleep like I had never slept before. I was always the one to know if something was happening...I would get up and go see what I was hearing. Then it switched and someone could have come in carried the bed out with me in it and I would have been apt to sleep through it.

ReplyDeletePets are the best. The last few days I've been at training camp and that's made it so I sleep just about straight through. Though before this, I did do things differently and that's helped me stay asleep. There's no clock in sight when I sleep. So if I wake, I never look to see the time. I just let myself drift right back to sleep and in the morning, my self-timer wakes me in time to get up. Been working great since I started that.
