Though television coverage did not show much, my daugher snagged this from somewhere. That is Lorelei, it almost looks like she is stepping on to the thumb of the guy waving.
She said when they were done her hands hurt from the cold, and she was soaked...her 'uniform' her socks, her gloves.
And below is a video I found...they were right after the train with Jimmy Fallon...if I did it correctly, it will begin with the Avon Marching band starting to march by. Edited to add...if you expand the view to fit your screen, this really shows up good. and if you hit the pause button at 1:27 exactly she is about exactly in the center of the screen.
And just for one more, here is a photo of her and her dad...
What fun for you all!
ReplyDeleteThank you! That's exciting. Too bad about the rain and cold.
ReplyDeleteGreat video! Great memory for her.
ReplyDeleteGood grief!! She was in THE Macy's Parade!!!! I see her. And I rewound the video many times. Amazing. Also she just gets more beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI did not know she and her band were in the parade.. I love that shot of her at the top and the band marching makes me happy. fantastic shot of her and her dad and what a memory to stay with her the rest of her life.. Agree with Ginny, more beautiful each time I see her and HOW DID she becomes a young woman right in front of my eyes over the years. seems like 2 years since she was still a small girl.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful. Of course I don't know about having to march in the rain. That's some memory she made though and will be telling about it for years to come. The year she marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat experience for her. Something she will always remember.
ReplyDeleteYay! I’m so glad you saw her as brief as it was! What an exciting experience though wet and cold!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day for your granddaughter. Great video capture of the parade. Nice shot of Lorelei and her father. Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteLots of fun but too bad Lorelei got so cold and wet. Hopefully she doesn't get sick.
ReplyDeleteSuch a shame about the weather, but an exciting and memorable day.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
