This is from several years ago...I think the only time I was ever lucky enough to get out any at all when there was hoarfrost.
It has been a very lazy day for me...yet I am tired enough to go to bed. Not one peep of sun. cloudy and rainy all day. Just so dreary.
I did address a few Christmas cards. I do not sound out but a very, very few and remember a time when I had to buy two boxes. I looked in the address book and so many of the people have passed on. Sort of sad to even look.
I am going to leave you with the video of a future EMT...or someone in the medical field.
What a cute video, and a cute news anchor as well. Your frost photo is beautiful, like a wonderland. I am the exact same way with Christmas cards that you are! Used to buy three or four boxes! Bought one now. Sad.
ReplyDeleteI only send out two cards, we do send out a Christmas newsletter via email. We don't decorate for Christmas, but we do love our everyday life so don't miss it.
ReplyDeleteThat video is so sweet. Please take care of yourself. ❤️
My middle name is Scrooge-Grinch. ;o)
ReplyDeleteThat picture makes me shiver. Is hoarfrost the same as freezing fog? That's what we get here...outlines all the pine needles in ice, pretty, but very cold.
That video is so cute. That is one smart baby. I don't send out as many cards as I used to years ago. I stopped sending them to people who don't send them to me.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen hoar frost except in photos like yours. we have had regular frost here twice in 40 years. my brother gets it a lot in Augusta GA. who could not laugh along with the news person and that baby has it down better than I could do
ReplyDeleteThe picture sure looks cold. Glad we have been lucky so far this year.
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing when addressing cards - so many in the address book no longer here. Guess it is time to make a new book.
Have a good day.
Cute video! The hoarfrost looks beautiful. My card list has shortened.
ReplyDeleteTake care, enjoy your day and have a great week ahead.
Hoar frost is very pretty! Take a nap, it is allowed!
ReplyDeleteI grew up on the prairies and hoar frost never lost its fascination for me.
ReplyDeleteThat baby is incredible. Such a smart one!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of the hoarfrost.
Oh what a darling baby. She's got it right and will know what to do. Better than most of us.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo of the hoarfrost. Its just gray, rainy, off and on today. Perfect day to be inside and do some things that have been neglected for far too long.

I used to send out lots of Christmas cards. I send very few nowadays as well. I haven’t addressed any cards this year, and I don’t think I will.
ReplyDeleteLove the hoar frost picture. I love walking in that kind of weather out back in our woods.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous photo Rose. I had to look up the meaning of hoarfrost as I needed a refresher. It reminded me of a time when we must have driven 200 miles on the freeway coming home and all the trees had a coating of ice on their branches. The sky was blue and the sun shone off them like jewels. Every now and again they would fall. It really was a magical drive. I don’t send as many cards out now for exactly the reasons you mentioned. The video is amazing. Just show how these little ones soak everything up like a sponge.
ReplyDeleteBrr it makes me feel cold but a lovely photograph of the hoar frost.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
