Autumn

 I just love pumpkins, gourds, squash...love all the interesting shapes and the colors.  I really love those little decorative gours...I think I even had a plant several years ago.

I almost did not post...I thought it won't hurt to skip it tonight, but then thought I need to do it if I am able.  

I wonder what/how Sandra and Bob and Beau are doing.  I hope they get their power back soon.  I just cannot imagine being without power this long...

I have been very busy this day with just the normal chores.  I was hoping to have time to stitch on my binding, and I could have had time, but not the lighting.  I do have a lamp that is supposed to get here tomorrow.  I am looking forward to having it.                                                                                                                        ********************

The past several weeks I have been watching old series from beginning to end...an episode or two a night...plus have had The Moonflower Murders and a new season of Van der Valk to watch.  

I cannot even think of all the ones I have watched.  I should make a tab and list each thing I watch....just to have for my own information.  I can go back and see viewing history but always takes me a bit to figure out how because I don't do it enough for it to become in grained in my brain.

They are still without power...no cable TV, no internet, and some that got power back on still have no cable, and Tv, and internet.  She said itis like the city was bombed every day.

When they drive down the street to get two bags of ice, they have to do 4-way stops because signals are not working.

Her son and his wife lives in Clearwater about 40 miles away....they had power back last night but no TV or internet service.

She says they are doing okay but the worst thing is from a diesel generator next door.  There is the noise, which ear plugs help for that, but there is no help for the fumes that fill the air in their house, in their yard..  

That is the basic info she sent...

Are you ready for snow...

 I am not, but I always love working snow scene puzzles.  

That being said, I think this is the first summer ever when I have looked at snow photos and wished I could step into the for just a while.  I don't know what the official record is, but I feel like this has been the coolest summer I have ever observed in Indiana.  I am not complaining, though I guess I am some...there were a lot of days it was not comfortable to read outside.

I had no new info from Sandra today...I did notice their weather is warming back up.  I pray they get their power back on sooner than expected.

I got the binding made and sewn to my quilt...not just have to flip it to the back and sew by hand.  Not sure how long it will take...I need to make the plunge and try and buy one of the lamps to work by at night
