Jigsaw puzzles

I finished this puzzle today...it is the first I have worked in a very long time.  My problem with jigsaw puzzles is that once I start one, I cannot leave them alone.  They have always been a favorite form of entertainment.

I have not touched my sewing machine today.  But then how could I...I had a puzzle to work.  Roger better be thankful I finished it before he starved he died of starvation!!!!   LOL  I am not quite that bad, but almost.  I did stop and vacuum while working on it, too.

I am in the mood to start another but trying to resist that urge.

I got an Otti story for you.

My older daughter was at Lorelei's for Christmas...she was feeling bad and was sleeping on the couch because it felt better than laying flat in bed to sleep.  She had taken something to help her pain and was sleeping soundly.  Keep this in mind.

I didn't know this but Otto likes to go up to the Christmas tree and rub his face in it.  I don't know why...maybe it scratches an itch.  Whatever the reason, daughter heard him.  Then realized she was hearing him over and over and said, "Otto, stop it!"  All this without her ever opening her eyes.

Then she realized it was a constant noise and fully woke up, and there he was with the Christmas lights wrapped around him, and he was straining against them to get to her!  They still have not figured out how the tree did not fall over, but she jumped up and made him back up till she could get the lights worked down off him and he could step out and over them.

  1. What a funny story. This puzzle looks like a lot of pieces! It's a shame to take them apart after spending so much time on them.

  5. I have t put a puzzle together in years, except to help our granddaughters put together their children puzzles. I had a favorite picture of our granddaughters made into a puzzle this year. I gave the puzzle to our granddaughters other grandmother. She thought it was was a very nice present.

  6. OMGosh, our dogs do crazy things, but this story is the best I've heard in a long time. I had a dog that used to scratch his back on the bushes outside. We used to get a kick out of watching him.

When Terry and I worked different shifts I used to keep a jig saw puzzle out and we each worked on it while the other was at work.

Glad all is going well with you and your family.
    Happy New Year

  8. That's a funny story about Otto. I'm glad he didn't pull the tree over onto your sister :) I enjoy doing puzzles and have three in my cupboard unopened. One is a 500 piece and the other two are less. I also have a puzzle that I do on line and pick the largest. They are fun and I find they are like a good book, once you start you don't want to stop. Wishing you all a Very Happy and Healthy New Year Rose.

  11. Love the jigsaw puzzle - my rule is - never vacuum while doing a puzzle - might catch a piece in the vacuum and never see it again. I've started doing them online and find them quite fun. Great story about the dog - and glad the tree did not fall on everyone.
