This house is over in Illinois...I could probably even take you right to it. It is not far off the beaten path and is surrounded by farmland. I would dearly love to see inside as everything about it seems to be so well taken care of. It is well loved! If it were mine, I would always be sitting on the porch when friends came and would invite you all to come sit and have a glass of iced tea, or a Coke or whatever you wanted.
************** Finally, the laundry sink is installed. It has been stressful. The company we got are always so on time...this was just a confusing time. The guy that came gave the estimate, tried to schedule it himself...or thought he was scheduling it. He was not ignoring my daughter's texts.
He was supposed to come today. She texted me this afternoon to see if he had come or if I had heard from him. I had not so she called the company back and asked what she had to do to get it installed. They thought it already was. She told them the deal with it...and told them the guy was very polite, and did not ignore texts, etc.
So the girl she talked to said dispatch had to schedule things and told Rachel it might not be done today. Rachel told her she didn't expect that...but that she would like to know because we couldn't keep just waiting and waiting and no one showing up.
In a bit dispatch called and told her it would be done this afternoon. And due to all the confusion, they are going to give her this deal where for one year she can get a AC inspection, heat inspection, and drain and flush the water heater. And any work that needs to be done will get 15% off. So they are trying to do right.
Me, I am so thrilled to have it done...and actually glad to have it. It will be so convenient when I want to add water to the washer before starting a load of bedding.
But waiting for someone to come really wears on me. First of all, there is always dealing with Copper. I have to contain him some way. If it was a woman, I don't think it would be as bad, but a lot of guys she just does not want anything to do with them.
I feel like I cannot sit out back because if they came without texting or calling, I would not hear them. I barely feel free to go to the potty when waiting, etc. I
Anyway, thankful it is done.
Pretty house.
ReplyDeleteGlad that project is done for you.
I totally agree. Waiting for workers to arrive and staying out of their way once they finally arrive, while at the same time "keeping an eye on them" is stressful. Good to know the laundry sink is installed!!!
ReplyDeleteI so much totally agree with you about waiting for repairmen!! I am afraid to even go to the bathroom! I would really rather wait when Phil is here, so between the both of us we could answer the door. This turned out perfect, though, because look what she is getting in return for their mistake!
ReplyDeleteI would love that house. I have always wanted a big front porch like that.
ReplyDeleteGlad the sink is finally installed. Waiting is the worst.
I like the porch and the house! I am glad your project is done.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a wonderful weekend!
dont pulblish the first comment, I am happy you have a sink and water and i know whay you mean about waiting and containing dogs. we don't have to do that with beau but for all our married lives we did
ReplyDeleteIt must be great to have it done and not be waiting for someone!
ReplyDeleteFinally! I'm glad the waiting is over.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to sit on that porch with you. It looks so inviting :)
Yes, I'd be sitting there all the time too, in fact I sit on my own front porch a LOT.
ReplyDeleteGlad the sink is finally installed and nice that they tried to make things better. I think that makes all the difference.
Oh I love a wraparound porch and would be sitting there all the time too. So glad you finally got the sink installed. that really was quite an adventure. Hope they will keep their end of the bargain and do all the inspections and ON TIME.

Glad it's done. One more thing off the list. Glad to read he wasn't ignoring her.
ReplyDeleteYour description of the house in Illinois makes it sound so inviting and charming—it would be lovely to enjoy a glass of iced tea on that porch! It’s great to hear that the laundry sink installation is finally complete, despite the stressful process. It’s nice that the company is offering extra services as a gesture of goodwill. I can understand how waiting for a service appointment can be exhausting, especially with a lively pet to manage. I hope the new sink brings a lot of convenience and ease to your daily routine. Enjoy the rest of your day and the new addition to your home! Hi wishing you a happy weekend.
